Sacraments

Those wishing to arrange Baptisms, Weddings, Funerals or other sacraments should contact the St. Bernard’s Parish office in advance of the sacrament. Some sacraments require education or records of previous sacraments.

Baptism

Baptismal classes are required for parents.

Reconciliation/Confessions

Confessions are 3:00-3:45 pm on Saturdays or by appointment.

Confirmation

If you are a member of St. Bernard Parish and your child is entering the 9th or 10th grade and is seeking reception of the Sacrament of Confirmation, please contact Matt Nowicki in the Faith Formation Office at 941. 730.2995 for more information regarding preparation for this Sacrament.

Matrimony

Those wishing the sacrament of marriage should contact the pastor or office at least 6 months in advance.

Anointing of the Sick

Any parishioners entering local hospitals (especially through emergency rooms), please give your religious affiliation as “Catholic – St. Bernard’s Parish” and have a friend or family member notify the church office. Medical facilities will not notify the parish.
