Confirmation, along with the Sacraments of Baptism and Holy Eucharist, form the Sacraments of Initiation and are intimately connected to one another. In the Diocese of Venice preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation normally begins in the 9th grade with the celebration of the Sacrament at the end of the 10th grade.
